Tessa is a senior in the College of Agriculture, Health and Natural Resources, and is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Pathobiology as well as a minors in Food Science and Molecular and Cell Biology. After graduation, she hopes to work in the pharmaceutical industry in a research environment.
Tessa is involved on campus as a student worker at the Connecticut Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory where she performs regulatory serological testing for diseases including Lyme disease. She is also the president of the UConn Polo Club and an active member of the varsity polo team. Tessa became a College Ambassador in order to promote the diverse and amazing opportunities that are available at UConn and to share them with potential students.

Three Pieces of Advice for Prospective Students:
- Take advantage of the talented staff that UConn has. It is their job to help you succeed, so never be afraid to ask questions.
- Do not overload yourself with too many clubs and organizations, pick a few that you love and put your heart into them. You will get more out of the college experience if you don’t spread yourself too thin.
- Get out and enjoy the beauty of the UConn campus.
