Lauren Engels

I am a senior in the College of Agriculture, Health and Natural Resources (CAHNR) pursuing a B.S. in animal science. I hope to continue my academic studies by attending veterinary school after I graduate this spring. On campus, I am a captain for the Weekend of Welcome program, serve as the philanthropy chair for the Sigma Alpha Professional Sorority, and am a member of the Pre-Vet club. I was previously on the UConn rock climbing team and enjoy long runs around campus. I am also a member of the Honors program and am involved in undergraduate research in Dr. Kristen Govoni’s laboratory for my honors thesis. I became interested in the College Ambassador program because I want to help prospective students find their home at UConn and become successful students in CAHNR.
