Shawn Perry

I am a senior in the College of Agriculture, Health, and Natural Resources (CAHNR), pursuing a degree in allied health sciences. I plan to attend an accelerated nursing program following graduation. I am involved in Engineering World Health, Husky for a Day, and was on the club crew team for three years. As a college ambassador, I hope to show other students the benefits of earning a degree in an applied science major like those in CAHNR!

Three Pieces of Advice:

  1. Don’t be afraid to change majors. I started in engineering and found there were lots of resources available to me when I decided that engineering was not for me.
  2. One bad exam won’t ruin your grade. Just make sure you study harder for the next one.
  3. Take time for yourself. It’s easy to get caught up in school or making friends and forget to eat right, exercise and sleep enough.
