Three Pieces of Advice for Prospective Students:
- Do undergraduate research. Getting started is daunting, but it has brought me so many wonderful opportunities that I feel have boosted my confidence in the laboratory setting, and in general.
- It’s okay to try one activity, hate it, try another one, hate it, and try again. It’s okay to take time to find that activity/club/organization that really means something to you.
- Ask for help! Seriously, your professors, TAs, the Academic Programs office, and so many other resources are available to you at a university this large.
